  1. How long have you been working at Manor homes?
    I have been working at Manor homes from day 1. I started Manor Homes in October 1995. So i have been here 20 years.
  2. What is your day –to- day function at work?
    I oversee the day –to- day running of the business. I ensure that the various sites run effectively and productively and make sure that house is delivered on time and in budget. I am involved in all the quotes and tenders and I spend a lot of with new customers and assist them to get started with their house from finance to finishing items.
  3. What do you enjoy about your job?
    I enjoy the starting off process of realising someone’s dream and then ensuring that it happens
  4. Concrete, stone, wood or glass   …? and why.
    Glass—- lets the light in. Allows you to see how out and enjoy the surroundings that you are in.  Psychologically speaking it is transparent which is what i want to be in all my dealings with people in business and life.
  5. What’s your favourite Drink?
    A nice glass of Shiraz
  6. Best thing about summer?
    The opportunity to hit the mountains and enjoy the nature that we have around us.
  7. Any fun activity or hobbies that you might have?
    I enjoy hiking, camping and spending time with my wife and daughter, family and friends.

2.What do you Love about your job?
The Challenges, pressure and ever changing environment. The freedom of working under the African sun in Khaki shorts and shades.
3. Best thing about summer?
Spending time with Family and friends at the Beach, summer markets and any other outdoor activity.
4. Concrete, stone, wood or glass …? and why.
Concrete! Wood and glass are brittle and cost the dough, Concrete holds and bears everything together, without it there is no show.
5. What is your favourite summer activity?
Water Skiing and fishing at my little piece of heaven in the Klein Karoo, cold beers, braais and good laughs

Rock Shandy’s by Day and Spiced Gold and Coke by night

  2. What do you Love about your job?
    I love the variety. It means I am always learning. I love that my job challenges me every day in different ways. The people at Manor Homes are a pleasure to work with.
  3. Best thing about summer or winter?
    Summer. There’s a lot to love about summertime. Shorts, tank tops, dresses! Casual parties with friends around the fire pit! Summer puts you in a good mood and is also quite vital to our health.
  4. Concrete, stone, wood or glass   …? and why.
    Glass. It’s elegant and timeless. It preserves the flavour of food and drink, can be recycled over and over again, and is a beautiful, natural substance.
  5. What is your favourite summer or winter activity?
    My favourite summertime activity is to have a picnic with my husband and my daughter. It's so nice to just relax in the sunshine, enjoying good food and even better company.
  6. What is your signature drink?
    A nice glass of unwooded Chardonnay

    Any song from Coldplay

    Since June 2017
  2. What is your day –to- day function at work
    I manage and supervise all aspects of the single residential houses which are assigned to me incl the development sites with my site managers.
    This entails programming all work coming up, ensuring specifications are in order, sticking to hand over dates and ensuring budgets are adhered to.
    Ensuring a quality product, communicating to architects and engineers, dealing with clients, invoicing, paying wages, crisis management, health and safety, client complaints, quoting client upgrade requests, is also a part of my job
  3. What do you enjoy about your job
    I’m not completely office bound, work with a great bunch of like-minded individuals and the completion of any home with a happy client is a great feeling of accomplishment as it started as an empty piece of land.
    I basically drive past and say, “I built that”. I enjoy that aspect, which keeps me motivated to carry on
  4. Concrete, stone, wood or glass …? and why.
    Stone……It has the least impact on the environment and takes the least amount of energy to produce it, It can be used in concrete. It breaks glass. Is harder than wood and people with glass houses mustn’t throw stones.
  5. What’s your favourite Drink
    Klippies and coke. Coffee
  6. Best thing about summer
    No rain, long day light hours and builders’ holidays.
  7. Any fun activity or hobbies that you might have.
    Spending as much time with my wife and kids, Camping, the great outdoors, travelling and exploring new places is a priority, squash and watching TV after 9pm is my favourite hobby when at home chilling.

    I’m responsible for waterproofing and maintenance.

    Every day is a different day.

    Most definitely the woodwork. I just love the way it shines when its finish.

    I enjoy Sprite

    To wear slippers and not shoes

  2. What is your day –to- day function at work?
    To make sure that concentration is carried out accurately and to follow plans and specifications.
    – Organizing workers/subbies, tools that’s required and make sure that there’s enough material to get the job done.
    – Most important is to superve the construction activities.
  3. What do you enjoy about your job?
    Love to work with a lot of different trades helps me a lot to understand the job description
    – love working with people that shares the same vision of the job -I love that I have great degree of control and freedom within my job.

    I love wood it can give you a big different internal or external of your house it just give you a nice finishing.
  5. What’s your favourite Drink?
    Coke or Castle Lager
  6. Best thing about summer?
    Best thing about summer is that there is always fun activities during day or night you can go to the beach to relax take your kids to fun places. The evening you can have a braai with your family and what is the best to end the day with your family.
  7. Any fun activity or hobbies that you might have?
    – Love to take my kids/fiancé out to beautiful places
    – Love to explore new places, restaurants, play parks etc.
    – Love to go and watch local rugby in the community with my family and friends
